We run Birmingham.

BHX Run Club was established in 2024 with one simple idea - running is better together. We're building a community where every pace and every ability is welcome, but more than that, a community that genuinely cares for one another. And because we believe running should be accessible to everyone, joining us won't cost you a thing. Whether you're looking for the motivation to get out of the door, new friends to explore routes with or simply a place where you belong, you'll find it here. Come run with us.

What got you into running?

After finishing rugby, a number of years passed and the weight gradually piled on. Eventually, I realised I needed to do something about it and set about losing the pounds. Having lost 3.5 stone, I needed something to help keep the weight off, so I started running. First came Couch to 5K, then parkrun, followed by a couple of 10k races. That's all history now though, as I've found my new runing family at BHX.

What's your favourite distance?

I love a 10K. It's the perfect distance.

What's your dream race location?

If I could get a place in one event, it would have to be the London Marathon.

What is your advice for new runners?

Be patient! Build up your distance and speed gradually. And don't skip strength sessions, they make a huge difference and keep you injury free.

Favourite post run meal?

An ice cold protein shake and a Grenade protein bar!
