What got you into running?
l'm new to running this year! I've only ever been into strength training, but I wanted to push myself to try something new and outside of my comfort zone. I joined BHX hoping to run a 10k by August, and with the support from the club I've completed the AJ Bell 10k and signed up for Solihull Half Marathon!! Every milestone has given me confidence to do things I never thought I could. If you're thinking about joining a run club or giving running a go, do it!!!
What's your favourite distance?
5k, there is no better feeling than a 5k PB!
What's your dream race location?
The Middle-earth Halfling Marathon (The Hobbit Half) in New Zealand.
What is your advice for new runners?
Don't compare your chapter one to someone else's chapter ten. Everyone starts somewhere, and every run counts, no matter the pace.
Favourite post run meal?
Biscoff doughnut and Iced Latte at The Steamhouse Bakery after a 10k with BHX!

What got you into running?
I have been running for 12 months now. When I started, I was struggling with my mental health and I knew I needed something to help me fight back. Signing up for the Birmingham Half Marathon last year felt like a big step, but it changed everything. I found something I didn't even realise I was missing. Running became my escape, my way of clearing my head, and slowly helping me feel like myself again.
